“Managing Chaos in CQB”

This course deals with skills needed to react positively when facing guns, blades and empty hand attacks at extreme close quarters with a focus on confined spaces. Observation and split second decision making, weapon access, retention under pressure, movement, cornering and use of the environment are key elements that need to be integrated with firearms skills to function effectively.
Making through this course is a major milestone towards becoming a master navigator of chaos.
Course content
• Understanding close quarter threats and embedding threat recognition skills.
• Safety and handling skills required for extreme close-range firearm work.
• Weapon access and retention while under attack. In and out of holster.
• Making use of the environment (barriers and corners).
• Dealing with multiple opponents.

Please be sure to bring the following personal equipment:
• Mouth Guard
• Eye and ear protection for the range
• A good holster and your handgun
• 180-200 rounds of ammunition
• Comfortable outdoor clothing fitting the weather
• Knee pads

Mark is currently based in Cape Town South Africa and travels extensively around the world teaching effective combative methods and techniques through seminars, workshops and private classes. Mark’s mission is to continually, research, test and develop solutions for personal safety challenges ensuring maximum field efficiency. Mark has been designing close quarter battle methodologies for and training various military branches including special operations units, law enforcement officers, private security companies as well as ordinary people who take their safety seriously.
